For as long as I can remember, I have been a dancer. From the shady glimpses of lives long forgotten to tap, jazz and ballet in my youth . . .
my journey led me to Belly Dance when i was only 17 years old and quickly seduced me. From Salome to Isadora to Ansuya, the dance ensnared me and I have been entranced ever since . . . following it's every drum beat , stepping gently into every foot step that has danced in it's path . . .
I still believe that a basic grounding in Middle Eastern dance is necessary for all students wanting to learn this ancient art, so I teach a very strict class. Having fun, sweating and drilling basic isolations, etc. are a perfect and required base to start from. For myself, I have chosen to fuse and combine . . . base element with the exotic. Old Lore with entrancing modernity. Following now in the footfalls of every dancer, entertaining in a new world that demands fantasy, trends, glitz and glamour.
