Marilyn Monroe: One and Only
Like a lot of things in life, there was only one Marilyn.
And I have to admit that I think she was gorgeous. My wife thinks she's gorgeous. A LOT of people think she's gorgeous.
Now along comes some 'actress' named Lindsay Lohan recreating a photo shoot with the same photographer who did the original with Marilyn.
Sounds like it could be a good idea, but once again, something is askew in this day and age.
Is it that everything is so contrived? Is it that Lindsay does not have the body or the sex appeal to pull this off? Is the photographer out to lunch for suggesting this?
All are probably contributing factors, but what it all adds up to is this generations lack of creativity, lack of respect for the past and the worst case of ADD ever.
Seriously, doesn't any body else see it? Daily, we are inundated with so much useless news - things which don't really affect our lives but which take up space in our brains nonetheless, because we let it.
I don't even own a tv (it's been 10 years) and I always know what's going on in most sectors of the newsworld, but it seems that the completely useless stuff is always at the top of the pile.
Heaven forbid we should all be reading news on being responsible citizens on the planet learning how to have a good time in life without wrecking everything.
Oh well. What's one person to do.

Yes, everyone involved was completely out too lunch. And yes, everything that the media puts out is completely contrived... including Marilyn Monroe: her name, her hair, even her husbands. But she sure was gorgeous, I'll give you that!
